Academic Objectives & Requirements: |
|
1. Objectives To cultivate research-capable foreign language talents with high competency in Russian language and literature, possessing global vision, a rigorous academic attitude, an innovative mind, and the ability to adapt to international competition while catering to national development needs. 2. Requirements. A. Personal Qualities: Strictly act in accordance with the laws and regulations of the People"s Republic of China, pursue an honest and prudent learning attitude, maintain academic morality, a spirit of social responsibility and teamwork, and be in good health. B. Knowledge: Possess a solid theoretical foundation in the Russian language and knowledge of academic research methods. Proficiency in Russian language and the ability to use Russian to a high level in applied contexts. Knowledge of current trends in research in Russian. The dissertation should demonstrate independent thought, the ability to apply theory to real-world issues, and should meet requirements in terms of language, content, and format. C. General Capabilities: Capable of working in higher education settings, government offices, corporations, and international organisations in fields including teaching, research, foreign affairs, and management. |

Thesis Proposal: |

Deadlines for thesis proposals are as follows. Pre-review: |
|
The master’s thesis uses a one-month pre-review system. Those applying for a degree in spring shall submit the draft for review before December 20 of the previous year; those applying for a degree in summer shall submit the draft before March 20 of the same year; if the degree is applied for in winter, students shall submit the thesis draft for review by September 20.For instructions on submitting thesis drafts, please see the website of the School of International Studies - Graduates - Full-time postgraduate students in foreign language colleges and the application for reviewing and defending the dissertation. |

Graduation & Diploma Requirements: |
|
1. Complete the required courses and meet the minimum credit requirements for the program.2. Complete all assessments and meet relevant requirements.3. Pass the thesis defense.4. Publication of academic papers: During the period of study for a degree, students must obtain research results corresponding to the guidelines for applied master’s degree students. That is, students must publish at least one academic paper in public publications (including collections of papers) under the name of Zhejiang University as the first author or, if the second author, the first author must be a mentor. |

I. Writing a dissertation1. Dissertation language: in Russian or Chinese. Not less than 15,000 words in Russian or no less than 30,000 characters in Chinese.2. The dissertation must meet the academic norms and academic integrity requirements. For specific requirements, please refer to the relevant provisions of the Zhejiang University Graduate Dissertation Writing RulesII. Dissertation defensePostgraduate students must complete all the procedures in the professional training program, complete the dissertation within the prescribed time limit, and submit the final draft of the thesis. After the recommendation of the instructor and approval of the reviewer, students can apply for the dissertation proposal defense. |
