主题一：《Benjamin Franklin: The Autobiography and Letters》   郭超

    The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is the traditional name for the unfinished record of his own life written by Benjamin Franklin from 1771 to 1790;however, Franklin himself appears to have called the work his Memoirs. Although it had a tortuous publication history after Franklin's death, this work has become one of the most famous and influential examples of autobiography ever written.
    Franklin's account of his life is divided into four parts, reflecting the different periods at which he wrote them. In these parts, several aphorisms are made about friendship. These are somewhat confusing, but can beunderstood with some comprehension skills. There are actual breaks in the narrative between the first three parts, but Part Three's narrative continuesinto Part Four without an authorial break (only an editorial one).

主题二：综述和点评Goldberg的way 构式（1995：ch.9)     孙悠夏

    构式语法理论是国际国内的研究热点之一，近年来受到国内学者的极大关注。Goldberg（1995）所著的Constructions: A Construction Grammar Approach to Argument Structure一书，深入地探讨了构式的意义，构式的解释力，构式和其成分的关系，构式之间的关系，以及构式的能产性程度等理论问题。此外，Goldberg还对英语中的双及物构式、致使一移动构式、动结构式、以及way构式等四个构式进行了细致的分析和解释。本篇读书报告的论题便是综述和点评Goldberg的way 构式（1995：ch.9)，主要就其论题、论证过程、行文结构、注释内容及功能和思考点评展开。论题为Goldberg构式语法对英语way构式的阐析；行文结构主要从Goldberg的行文着手，在简述其行文安排的过程中，论述Goldberg对英语way构式的论证；分析了该章的注释以及国内外论文注释的现状；基于以上对该章的分析，最后提出了对way构式的一些思考和点评。

主题三：《学问之道：中国著名学者自述》   李雯婷

    该书遴选20世纪学人言论，反映了那个时代学术大家治学之精神。其中，季羡林，赵元任，罗常培，周祖谟等语言研究名家的研究心得，启迪了一批批新生代语言学研究者。本书曾为杭州大学出版社1998年出版过，此次重新策划出版，重新取名，重新装帧，是一部树立良好治学之风的经典集。
