“中国句法语义论坛”（Syntax and Semantics in China，SSiC)旨在为中国境内从事句法语义研究或者与中国语言（汉语、汉语方言及民族语言）有关的句法语义研究的学者（尤其是青年学者）搭建一个学术交流平台。论坛迄今已在南京大学、解放军外国语学院、湘潭大学和西安外国语大学成功举办四届。第五届“中国句法语义论坛”（SSiC2016)由浙江大学外国语言文化与国际交流学院、同济大学外国语学院和中国社会科学院语言研究所《当代语言学》编辑部联合主办。除常规议程外，本届论坛还将围绕徐烈炯先生的学术成果进行专题研讨，并将从录用论文中择优编成纪念文集，由知名出版社正式出版。综合考虑会议频率、与会者参会成本等因素，本着厉行节约的原则，本届论坛与“第16届中国当代语言学国际研讨会”同期在同济大学并行举行，但论坛将实行独立的征稿、审稿程序，并安排独立的议程。

一、会期：2016年10月28日-29日（周五-周六）
28日举行专题研讨会，29日开展论坛常规议程。
二、会议地点：上海同济大学外国语学院
三、征文范围
汉语（含方言）及民族语言的句法和语义研究（包括语言本体及习得研究）以及其他与句法、语义相关的研究。
四、投稿事宜
（1）每位作者最多可以提交独立署名摘要一份和合作署名摘要一份；
（2）摘要不得超过一页A4纸，中英文字体不得小于5号；
（4）提交摘要时，请同时提供以下个人信息：姓名、单位、职称/学位、手机和电子邮件地址。
五、审稿政策
论坛拟接受30位学者发言；不设平行讨论；摘要的选择完全基于同行匿名评审；每份摘要会指派给至少两位同行评审。摘要一旦评审通过，主办方将发出正式邀请。
六、论文出版
论坛将从录用论文中择优结集出版。具体事宜请关注后续通知。
七、会务费
800元/人（研究生减半）。

The Fifth Workshop on Syntax and Semantics in China (SSiC 2016)
Call for Papers
The Workshop on Syntax and Semantics in China (SSiC) aims to promote scholarly exchanges for researchers (especially young ones) on Chinese languages (including, but not limited to, Mandarin Chinese, Chinese dialects, and other languages in China). From 2012 to 2015, SSiC has been successfully held in Nanjing University, PLA University of Foreign Languages, Xiangtan University, and Xi’an International Studies University. The Fifth Workshop (SSiC 2016) will be held at School of Foreign Languages, Tongji University, on October 28-29, 2016, under the co-sponsorship of School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, School of Foreign Languages, Tongji University, and Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. At SSiC 2016, a special event will be held in honor of Prof. Xu Liejiong, a highly respected Chinese linguist. In support of this event, papers will be selected for publication in the form of a Festschrift.
Topics of interest (but not limited to):
(1) Syntax and semantics of Mandarin Chinese, Chinese dialects, and other languages in China
(2) L1 and L2 learners’ acquisition of Chinese syntactic and semantic properties
(3) Other topics pertaining to syntax and semantics
Guidelines for Submission:
(1) Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author. Authors of accepted abstracts should submit a full paper before the deadline. Full papers should be formatted in accordance with the style guide from Contemporary Linguistics (当代语言学).
(2) Abstracts should be sent to the conference email box: ssic2016@126.com. Other methods of submission are not encouraged.
(3) Abstracts should be no more than 2 pages (A4 size) with font size no smaller than 10 (or size 5 for Chinese characters). Both PDF file and MS word file are required.
(4) Abstracts can be in either English or Chinese.
Reviewing Policy:
(1) No more than 30 abstracts will be selected for presentation at the conference. Acceptance will be based on blind peer review, and each abstract will be assigned to at least two reviewers.
(2) Once the abstract is accepted, an official invitation letter will be sent to the author, and subsequently, the author should submit his/her full paper for inclusion in the Festschrift.
(3) Participants from mainland China will be charged RMB ¥800 each (students, including post-graduates, RMB ¥400). Those from other areas than mainland China are exempt from the fee.

(3) Deadline for full paper submission: Sept. 15, 2016
