主题一：A review of A Cultural Approach to Discourse ---《文化视角下的话语研究》简介（周能）
文化视角下的话语研究是话语研究的一种新范式，它关注的是弱势、被边缘化的群体，它尊重文化的差异性，因此这种范式能使我们更好的去做话语研究以及理解世界、理解我们本身。除序言和简介外分两大部分,共七章.在序言和简介部分里,作者交代写作此书的目的以及读者对象,并从知识论、方法和研究对象的不同层面进行论述. 本文将从以下几个方面对此书进行介绍：1、表征主义到现实构建主义，2、 文化与话语，3、文化多元主义。
主题二：Discourse and Ideology
-- Critical discourse analysis of press conferences held by Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council（李妮）
Abstract: This paper aims to conduct a comparative discourse analysis of press conferences held by Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. Discourse data is collected from two periods: 12 transcripts of press conferences were took from Jan. 2007 to Jan. 2008 when the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader Chen Shui-bian was serving his last year in the office and another 12 transcripts were took from Mar. 2008 to Jan. 2009 when the Kuo Mintang (KMT) leader Ma Ying-jeou took office and served his first year in the office. The former period is said to be one when the Cross-strait relation is severely stressed while the latter improved. My objective is to reveal how the press conference discourse interacts with the Cross-strait relation context, or in other words, how the social practice, discourse practice and texts interact and interrelated in this specific genre of discourse. Specifically, my research questions are: 1) what characteristics can be observed during the two periods. Is any change taking place after Ma took power? 2) what discursive strategies are used by the spokesperson to represent his/her clients’ stance, to achieve persuasion, to justify actions? 3) What ideology is embedded in the specific way of representation of the spokesperson? Generally speaking, this paper is an interpretative research of the press conference discourse. By integrating the analysis of transitivity system and appraisal system in the functional grammar, the paper will demonstrate that different representations serve different purposes (or ideologies) which are in line with the broader social and historical contexts. In this way, the interrelationship between texts, discourse practice and social practice can be better explained.
话语与意识形态--对国台办新闻发布会的批判话语分析
摘要：国台办新闻发布会是大陆政府宣传对台方针政策、对涉台事件表明态度立场、塑造政府形象、引导公众舆论的重要渠道。它在两岸关系的变化过程中起着重要作用，同时两岸关系的变化也会在新闻发布会中得到反映。2007年1月到2008年1月陈水扁执政时期和2008年3月到2009年1月马英九执政时期，两岸关系呈现出截然不同的特点。本文以这两个时期的24场新闻发布会为语料，运用批评话语分析的方法，比较分析社会实践、话语实践、文本间有着怎样的互动。本文尝试解答以下问题：1）这两个时期的国台办新闻发布会呈现出怎样的特点，是否有变化？2）新闻发言人是如何运用话语策略来呈现其所代表机构的意识形态，即意识形态如果在话语中得到反映？通过结合对话语及物系统和评价系统的分析，本文试图说明不同的呈现形式为不同的意识形态服务，而意识形态又受到社会背景的制约。
