关于举行跨文化研究所博士研究论坛的通知

 PhD Research Seminar (博士研究论坛）

The Institute of Cross-Cultural Studies will organize a mini workshop next Wednesday to advance PhD 

study and collaboration. This event is specifically to provide a forum for three PhD students from different 

universities to discuss their research questions and methodology. They will present their research 

programs, and invite participants to challenge and contribute.

Speakers:

Joel Heng Hartse(Department of Language and Literacy Education, University of British Columbia, 

Canada): Chinese speakers’ understanding of the characteristics of written English 

Zhou Yi(Post-doctoral Fellow, Faculty of Education, University of Windsor, USA): Narrative and teachers' 

intercultural Competence 

Hou Song (School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, China): Discourse, ethnography and the 

remaking Chinese local heritage: A cross-cultural approach
