题目A Corpus-based Study on the Lexical Features in Four English Versions of Fu Sheng Liu Ji  基于语料库的《浮生六记》四英译本词汇特征研究

 

摘要The studies on the English translations of Fu Sheng Liu Ji are relatively isolated. Most of them only focus on the most popular version by Lin Yutang, or make comparison of just two versions from microscopic perspectives, and till now little attention has been paid to the latest published version by Graham Sanders. There lacks a study on all of these versions from a macroscopic perspective. Therefore, with self-compiled corpora, this study attempts to investigate the lexical features in the four English versions of Fu Sheng Liu Ji from four aspects: STTR, lexical density, word length and word frequency.

题目:弗雷德里克·道格拉斯自传中叙述的不可靠性

 

摘要:不可靠叙述如今已成为叙事学研究的热门。其中以布思和费伦为代表的修辞派与以雅克比和纽宁为代表的认知(建构)派各有所长,又都有各自的缺陷。本文旨在通过结合这两种研究方法和理论框架,从文本内叙述不可靠性,互文性叙述不可靠性和文本外叙述不可靠性三个层次,展现并分析弗雷德里克·道格拉斯自传中第一人称的不可靠叙述,并指出这种不可靠叙述主要是由叙述者的成长变化所致,并且是为作者身份建构的需要服务的。

题目: On Time and Space in To the Lighthouse 论《到灯塔去》中的时间与空间

 

摘要: This paper is an interpretation of Virginia Woolf’s novel To the Lighthouse, from the perspective of how the time and spatial elements work in this book. The first section presents an overall picture of how the time-spatial structures, both physical and psychological, are built up as the story gradually unfolds, also pointing out the underlying metaphorical evening-night-morning timeline of this novel. The next section deals with Lily Briscoe’s painting in particular, elaborating on the many time and spatial elements involved in the shifting of now and then or here and there while she paints. Section three is an explanation of how two factors, namely the lighthouse and Mrs. Ramsay, pervades the narration of diverse events where all kinds of time and spatial elements, both present and past, are included, and how they connect these fragmentary pieces together, forming two continuous and orderly storylines. And the conclusion part makes it clear the embedded revelation hidden in the piling up of all the time-spatial elements, extruding a little bit where lies human life’s essential meaning.

题目:A Tentative Study of Discourse Coherence from the Perspective of Conceptual Metaphors 从概念隐喻角度探究语篇连贯

 

摘要:Discourse coherence has been a significant branch of discourse analysis. The traditional way of studying discourse coherence is studying various cohesive devices such as grammatical and lexical methods. However, with the development of cognitive science, an increasing number of linguists have begun to adopt a cognitive perspective for a better explanation of discourse coherence. On the other hand, conceptual metaphors, as important part of cognitive linguistics, have got rid of the limitations of traditional rhetoric and have been regarded as a powerful cognitive mechanism. Nearly a decade of years, domestic and foreign language researchers have made lots of achievements in the operating mechanism, semantic roles of conceptual metaphors. Nevertheless, very little research has done as to the study of conceptual metaphors at a discourse level. Such being the case, this paper will take the perspective of conceptual metaphor to analyze discourse coherence. With the analysis of several cases based on some selected Chinese and English discourses, the paper aims to reveal how conceptual metaphors functions in the coherence of discourses under the guidance of the cross-domain mapping theory, and provides new insights into the study of discourse coherence.
