Organized by The Chinese University of Hongkong(CUHK), “The 1st Chinese University Shakespeare Drama Contest” was
held in 2005 and the champion went to the drama group from Peking University. Compared with the first event, the second
contest is broader in scale, which attracts 24 universities from all over the country. After the first round rivalry, SIS’(School of
International Studies, Zhejiang University) drama group, together with groups from CUHK, Peking University, Fudan
University and Nanjing University made it to the final which is to be held in CUHK, in the middle of May, 2006.
SIS’ drama group consists of 4 members: Director, Arthur West (foreign teacher of SIS), and three actors, He Danyang,
Shen Haoyu and Zhu Weiqi (students of SIS).
Every year, SIS sends a group to take part in the “Chinese University Shakespeare Drama Contest”. Please pay due attention
to the notice concerning the recruitment of actors every year in late September and sign your name up!
