Freshman of Russian Language & Culture Had Two Academic Papers Published

       Recently, Li Yishuai, a freshman of Russian Language & Culture of School of International Studies, Zhejiang
University, had two of her academic papers published on the academic publication of two domestic universities.
One of the papers is entitled as “The Artistic Charm of the Ice Beauty”, which was published on the 7th issue (2007)
of World Culture sponsored by Tianjin Foreign Studies University, and the other was “A Critical Review of Christmas
Evening
’s Religious View Through Its Composition”, which was published on the 2nd issue (2007) of North Art, the
Journal of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. In the two papers published recently, making use of her professional knowledge
and advanced research method, Li Yishuai analyzed the last achievements and trends of development of the products
of modern Russian mentality, culture and art, and expatiated the multiple angles of religious views, historic reforms,
culture continuity and art aesthetics of Russian people. The papers are prominent for the original thoughts, breakthrough
of ideas, full and accurate contents, solid datums, and exquisite words. The research was done with certain depth and
width, which fulfilled the theoretical gap in the fields of modern Russian culture, art and aesthetics. The papers manifested
her excellent competence in language and literature, her aesthetic views and her sensitivity in critical thinking, and had won unanimous approval and prasise from the experts of these two universities.

       And she was also invited by the two universities to write sequels after the publication of the papers. This academic
accomplishment is rarely seen among first year university students throughout the nation, and it is the honor of Zhejiang
University, as well as a new achievement in the undergraduate teaching and research program of the Institute of Russian
Language & Culture, SIS.
 

Not long ago, Li Yishuai was interviewed by the journalists of Meng Ya Magazine, together with the postgraduates of Arts from East China Normal University, about her life and study in SIS and the influence on modern literature put by the
experience and products of the new generation of writers who were born after 1980’s. Li Yishuai had won a first prize
and a second prize of the New Concept Composition Competition, which was hosted by 13 top universities that were

under the direct administration of China's Ministry of Education
, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Renmin University of China, together with Chinese Writers Association
and Meng Ya Magazine. She is also a versatile student, good at composing, playing the piano and drawing. She had won
the golden prize of Bin Xin Art Competition, and once been named the top one student among “the best ten secondary
school students of Tianjin”, and has been included in the data base of the files in the growing up of the candidates of “The
best ten secondary school students of China” sponsored by the Central Youth League and the Ministry of Education,
and was awarded the honor by the state leaders in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Many media, including CCTV, CETV,
People’s Daily and Evening News of Tianjin, had interviewed her and reported her achievements. A series of short stories and proses written by her--- Farewell
Antwerpen,Thoughts with Distress , Father’s Face and the Earth Behind,
Between ups and downs, The Soul of Zhejiang University
---- had been published on several national Chinese literary
publications and Zhejiang University Newspaper, all adored by readers very much. Li Yishuai is now a member of Tianjin Writers Association, as well as a contracted writer of The Writers Publishing House and Meng Ya Magazine.
