Foreign Dean of SIS Receiving Interview from the Media

   Sept. 9, 2007, dean of the School of International Studies(SIS), Prof. Dr. Ulrich Steinmueller, received the
interview from seven news media in Zhejiang province, at the same time when the 2007 Academic Conference on International View about Studying German as A Foreign language was held by German Center of the
school. Prof. Steinmueller, as the first foreign dean since the foundation of our country, had drawn the cameras of many news media. They inquired into specific details about Prof. Steinmueller’s work and daily life in
Zhejiang University, and about his views on the development of higher education course in China.

   The media present included the branch of Xinhua news agency in Zhejiang province, Qianjiang
Evening Paper, Daily Morning Paper, Youth Times, Daily Business, City Express and general channel of
Hangzhou Television Station.
