Notice about Using Host Computers in Classrooms
Nov.15, 2007,SIS
Teachers:
In order to take precautions against viruses and guarantee the normal teaching process, the school laboratory has reinstalled all the computers in 82 classrooms during this summer, and also installed system protection ring to protect all the disks. As a
result, every time the computer get started (on condition that no external storage is connected to the computer), it will be restored to the original, clean, non-virus state. However, there are several points that you should pay attention to for the use of host
computers:
1. Please check the files on your disk in advance to make sure they are not infected by any viruses. If you are not able to do it by yourself, you can come to the laboratory (Rm.419 of Building East 6) for a check in advance.
2. If the computer on the main control console has been left on before you start it, please restart the computer before you use
other external facilities (such as u-disks and movable hard disks, etc.), for fear that others may have left viruses in the
computer.
3. If there is anything wrong with the facilities, please ensure no external storage is connected to the computer and then get it
restarted. If the problem still cannot be solved, please call 88206040 or 88206921 immediately and connect extension numbers to the responsible person, or dial “
problem won’t be delayed.
4. After the class, please close the facilities on the main control console and remind students to close end computers, so that
teachers come afterwards can have a clean operation system.
5. If there is anything wrong with end computers for students, please inform the office of Experimental Centre which is located in Rm.419 of Building East 6, so that we can remove the faults in time.
In addition, you are welcome to put forward suggestions and advice to us, so we can serve teaching better.
We really appreciate the support from all the teachers!
