The series looks at the culture and metaphors of exclusion in social science practice and texts, as they emerged during the European age of modernity, and which continue to persist in some postmodern approaches. Alternative to, or counterbalancing, the exclusionary culture and metaphors, more inclusive cultures and metaphors are cursorily explored. Narcisa Paredes-Canilao is currently Associate Professor of Philosophy at the College of Social Sciences; University of the Philippines Baguio, where she teaches philosophy (Epistemology, Philosophy of Language) and interdisciplinary social science courses (Epistemological Issues in the Social Sciences, and Historical and Philosophical Development of the Social Sciences). Her research, published works and advocacy are on women and gender, and indigenous knowledge and discourses. |
