On the morning of March 31st, teachers of Xuejun Middle School brought 16 Italian teachers and students along to visit our university and were warmly received by the Instructing Center for Youth Volunteer, SIS.
At 9 am, 7 volunteers were well-dressed to welcome the visitors at the gate. And then, they led the guests to the library. The volunteers not only introduced the eatery in the library, but also made a particular introduction of the Italian books collected in the library, at which the Italian guests were quite surprised.
Later on, led by the guides from Qiushi cultural publicity team and in the company of the volunteers offering interpretation, the Italian teachers and students altogether went sightseeing on Zijingang campus, including the Science and Technology Hall. After lunch, their half-day trip finished in a joyous atmosphere.
The trip did not take long, but it promoted the communication between two countries. We are delighted to find that most of the volunteers exchanged their e-mails address with Italian students, hoping to keep in touch in future. In accordance with the volunteer spirits, the volunteers made their effort to serve others. At the same time, they learned from the activity and realized the self-worth.
