On August 7th, 2011, Zhang Xiaoyan and Wang Yang finished their over-two-month exchange at University of Amiens (Universitité de Picardie Jules Verne), France, which started from May 26th, 2011. During the exchange period, they audited French courses to enrich academic experiences, gathered materials for Master’s dissertation in library, and tasted various French delicacies and French romance. They learnt how to adjust to and melt into the French life and thus reinforced the ability to live independently in Amiens, an attractive city with historical feeling.

Also, they spent their free time after school touring Paris, the well-known romantic city, and were deeply impressed by the breathtaking culture and art. There are so many famous scenic spots, such as the paradise of art—the Louvre, the model of European imperial garden—the Versailles Palace, Napoleon's victory arch—the Triumphal Arch, the reputed most beautiful avenue—the Avenue of Champs Elysees, the birthplace of love tragedies written by Hugothe Notre Dame, and the landmark of Paris—the Eiffel Tower.

Being reluctant to leave, they departed from France at the beginning of August. This exchange lasted only two and a half months, but benefited them a lot. They not only became more acquainted with French, but also dug deeper about French culture and French nation. Besides expanding their horizon, the exchange helped them apply French which they had learned into practical use as well.
