WU Yuemin:Intercultural communication, Media Culture

WU Yuemin was born in December, 1960. He graduated from Jiangxi Normal University, getting the degree of Bachelor of Literature in 1982 and from Lanzhou University as a postgraduate in 1989, majoring in English and American literature and he also got the degree of Master of Journalism in Zhejiang University in 2006, and the degree of Doctor of Communication Studies in 2010. He is now an associate professor and master supervisor in School of International Studies.
Wu has been teaching Western Journalistic English, Language and Culture:Comparison between English and Chinese, College English. Wu’s research interests include intercultural communication, language and culture, journalistic English, media and culture. He got the awards of excellent teacher of Zhejiang University both in 2004, 2007and 2013 respectively. Wu was a visiting scholar in the Department of Asia Pacific Studies at San Diego State University in 2011. His recent publications include several articles on intercultural communication, cross-cultural studies, culture and gender studies, media culture and some books on college English teaching.
