On March 28, Song Xianlin, dean of Confucius institute, and Prof. Gregory McCarthy on political sciences from the University of Western Australia paid a visit to Zhejiang University. Ren Shaobo, executive vice president as well as directors and experts from Institute of Social Sciences, School of International Education, School of Public Affairs and School of International Studies met the guests.
Ren Shaobo welcomed Song Xianlin and his fellows, and spoke highly of the close cooperation and exchanges between two universities. He showed the broad prospects for cooperation and wished to strengthen the achievements gained and expand cooperation in humanities and social sciences, international relations and so on. Prof. Gregory McCarthy first introduced his research field and stated that the University of Western Australia attached great attention to the cooperation with Zhejiang University, and hoped to relaunch the the Australian Research Center in Zhejiang University while further promoting the cooperation and exchanges between two sides.
After the meeting, Song Xianlin and his fellows, as well as directors from School of International Studies and School of Public Affairs held in-depth discussions.
