The academic publishing giant Elsevier has just officially released the Chinese Most Cited Researchers List 2017. Prof. Liu Haitao was selected for the fourth time in the list (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) and was the only most cited researcher in social sciences of Zhejiang University.

Liu Haitao (1962-),distinguished Qiushi professor of Zhejiang University, doctoral supervisor, chief expert of major projects of National Social Science Fund, winner of special government allowances of the State Council and supervisor of excellent doctoral dissertation in Zhejiang Province, is also academician of Akademio de Esperanto, deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Quantitative Linguistics, co-editor-in-chief of Glottometrics, editorial board member of international publications of linguistics such as Language Problems & Language Planning, Glottotheor and Esperanto Studies, chief editor of Translations of Applied Linguistics by the Commercial Press as well as the Most Cited Chinese Researcher of Elsevier from the year of 2014 to 2017.
As a Chinese scholar whose papers on linguistics are collected the most by WOS core library (SSCI, A&HCI, SCI) for the past decade, he has published over 160 papers on linguistics in more than 60 publications of literature, science and engineering home and abroad, including over 50 in SSCI, A&HCI and SCI and many in the list of ESI highly cited (1%) and hot papers (0.1%).
