The School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, and Université Paris Nord signed a formal agreement of cooperation framework after close contact and negotiations for about a year. It is the first French university which established a contract with the School of International Studies, Zhejiang University.
The predecessor of Université Paris Nord was Paris Sorbonne University founded in 1179, which was the first university in Europe and known as the mother of European universities. After education reforms in 1968, the former Paris Sorbonne University was divided into 13 independent comprehensive universities, among which Université Paris Nord was the only one with the most complete disciplines.
Thanks to the efforts made by relevant leaders and teachers of the SIS as well as the strong support from some departments of the University, the framework agreement on the exchange programs among students, teachers and scholars, as well as academic exchanges was signed. The SIS will definitely be more and more globalized with different languages and it will attract more and more overseas institutions for future cooperation.
