On July 2, School of international Studies (SIS) of Zhejiang University signed a cooperation agreement with Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS), America.
Since the visit of the representatives from MIIS to SIS in October 2019, the two parties have been staying in close communication with each other for the details of cooperation. The new agreement signed finalized some cooperation projects such as student exchange and joint training.
Project Overview
Undergraduates:
3+2 Program: Junior students in the SIS can apply for a one-year non-degree program* at MIIS in selected majors and take the examination after one year’s study. They may transfer to a degree program for one-year further study to obtain a master’s degree after they pass the exam.
3+1+2 Program: Junior students in the SIS can apply for a one-year non-degree program* at MIIS in selected majors and take the language examination after one year’s study. They may be admitted to a master’s program related to translation after they pass the exam.
Graduate students:
Translation 1+1/2+1 Program: First/second-year Master of Translation and Interpreting in SIS, if they pass the Monterrey’s Early Diagnostic Test, may enroll in a master’s program related to translation for one-year study and obtain a degree.
International Organization 1+1 Program: First-year students majoring in International Organization and Global Communication in SIS may apply for the MA in International Policy and Development at MIIS and obtain a master’s degree after one year of study.
