On November 15, the School of International Studies organized a visit for its international faculty to the International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. The delegation was led by Vice Dean MIN Shangchao and Vice Chair of Faculty Union WEN Renxing. Vice Dean CHEN Weiying of the International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University extended a warm welcome to the visting team and convened a fruitful productive exchange session.
The event began with Dr. XU Xiaoming, a researcher in the Hundred Talents Program, delivering an overview of the International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. The school, jointly established by Zhejiang University and Yiwu Municipal People’s Government, aims to develop into a high-level, research-oriented global institution specializing in advanced medical education and research.
Vice Dean CHEN Weiying elaborated further on the school’s strategies for talent recruitment, student training, and educational innovation. She highlighted the unique “Three-in-One” model that the school employs, which integrates education and research resources to accelerate the globalization of medical education. Both Chinese and international faculty engaged in lively discussions, exchanging ideas on teaching methods, research opportunities, and campus life.

In the afternoon, the international faculty, along with some students, visited Yiwu International Trade City and Chinese Brown Sugar Factory.
In the gentle drizzle, the visiting team had a successful journey to Yiwu. The international faculty expressed their appreciation for the well-organized and enriching event. They noted that the experience deepened their understanding of the university’s initiatives and provided valuable insight into Chinese culture through interdisciplinary and cross-cultural exchanges.
