According to joint negotiations between SIS and the International Labor Organization (ILO), since 2015 outstanding ZJU students have been selected to participate in the summer camp held by the International Training Center of the International Labor Organization, the only training institution in the UN system whose theme is “International Summer Camp on Building Youth Talent: Developing the Next Generation of Global Leadership”. The program aims to broaden students’ global perspective, and to enhance their ability and competence in global governance as well as their level of internationalization. Priority is given to GEP members in SIS. As for the fee, the ILO provides a number of scholarships, while the students should cover other expenses, such as the tuition fee and international travel, themselves.
The topics covered during the summer camp include: 1. Specialized knowledge of the UN; 2. Professional university courses in business management and innovation; 3. Cross-cultural management and EQ training for college students; 4. Field visits of UN Headquarters.
